BACILLUS SUBTILIS
Research on Bacillus subtilis bacteria has been ongoing since the early 20th century and since the 1980s they have been focused on the effects of these bacteria on animal body. The uniqueness of this strain lies in the formation of very durable spores resistant to environmental conditions (including high temperature and pressure).
The spores overcome the unfavourable environment for bacteria in the dog’s stomach and small intestine, where is a very low pH (1-2 pH) and bile acid salts that are harmful to most bacteria. The Bacillus subtilis spores then germinate in the intestines, strengthening the beneficial intestinal flora.
They do this in several ways:
- producing and maintaining a proper balance of intestinal
flora by increasing beneficial bacteria and inhibiting the
growth of harmful intestinal bacteria, - producing powerful protein-degrading enzymes and
starch-degrading enzymes, - producing vitamins from B group.

for small breed dogs
Yorkshire terriers, cavalier king charles spaniels, maltese dogs, pugs, chihuahua and other „big dogs” enclosed in a small body. Small breed dogs are characterized by short and intense growth period and longevity. At 8-10 months of age, a puppy of such breeds becomes an adult dog.
The longest stage in their lives is adulthood, as small breed dogs age late. The first changes may not appear until around 8 years of age, and dachshunds or yorkshire terriers often live several years.
These small-sized dogs, weighing a maximum of 10 kg, have high energy needs. They are characterized by a rapid metabolism and a sensitive digestive tract which is long in relation to their body weight. These dogs have a tendency for dental and gum diseases due to their small muzzle size. They are fussy eaters as well, so they require a very tasty and easily digestible diet.

Medium breed dogs are a very diverse group. However, what characterizes them best is their inexhaustible energy. Working, playing, running on a free… that’s what they love most.
They are neither as delicate and fragile as many small breed dogs, nor as prone to joint or stomach problems as large breed dogs. Often they are not large dogs, but strong, stocky and athletic, weighing up to 25 kg.
This group includes border collie, beagles, bullterriers, medium poodles, American Staffordshire terriers, most spaniels, Siberian huskies and samoyeds.

The growth period in large breed dogs is longer than in other breeds. It lasts 15 months and in some cases even longer. These dogs increase their birth weight
many times over, in the largest breeds it can be up to 100 times.
The puppy grows in stages, which in large breeds are very easy to observe. During first stage (lasting up to 8th or 9th month) the skeleton develops. Only after this stage they start to gain muscles. With these dogs any nutrition or training mistakes can have serious and irreversible consequences.

What is stress anyway? It is a physiological and behavioural response to a threatening stress stimulus. While short-term stress can be positive and mobilizes the body to action, chronic stress has a detrimental effect on the functioning of the body. Constantly high levels of stress hormones in the body cause irreversible changes. In some parts of the brain, neurons may atrophy and the ability to form neural connections may weaken.
Stress also has a negative impact on your dog’s immune system. Prolonged stress causes the performance of this system to drop by up to 70%. In addition to the immune system, the digestive system also suffers. The reason is the excessive secretion of norepinephrine, which can affect the composition of the bacterial flora and gastrointestinal motility, which in turn may result in diarrhoea.
